Loot

Monsters leave their loot in their corpse. On Master Runes you loot it by hand, as in the classic game; inside dungeons the loot is shared out for you.

Looting a corpse

  • Open the corpse (right-click it with Classic Control on, or Use / Open in its menu) and drag the items to your backpack, or onto your equipment.
  • Every kill shows Loot of … with what the corpse holds in the Loot chat tab.
  • There is no automatic loot: nothing jumps into your backpack by itself outside dungeons.
  • The loot rate of the server is ×2.

Quick loot: only in dungeons

  • Quick loot (taking a corpse's whole loot at once, or the loot of the corpses around you, up to 30) only works inside dungeons: in the waiting room and in the cave.
  • Anywhere else the server answers Quick loot is only available inside dungeons. and leaves the corpse as it is: open it and loot it by hand.
  • The Master Runes client has no quick-loot button and no loot containers: inside dungeons the shared loot below already hands out every corpse.

Shared loot in dungeons

In a dungeon, a moment after a monster dies its loot is shared among the group members who are inside the dungeon:

  • Gold: gold, platinum and crystal coins are added up and split equally; the odd gold coins go to a different member each time.
  • Items: each item goes to the member who has received the least value so far, so everyone ends the run with a similar share.
  • Very rare items from the boss go to a random member.
  • Bags and a few worthless items are discarded.
  • Everyone reads Shared loot: … in the Loot tab: who got what, and the gold each one received.
  • If something does not fit (no room in your backpack or not enough capacity) it is marked (given when you leave) and handed to you when you leave the dungeon.
RecommendedFree some backpack room and capacity before a dungeon run: the shared loot goes straight into your backpack.

Counting your loot

The Hunt Analyzer counts the gold and items you loot and your supplies; in a party, the Party Hunt window shows the loot, supplies and balance of every member.
