Economy
Master Runes has two currencies: gold, earned in the game, and coins, bought on the website. Gold pays for everything in the world (NPCs, the Market, house rent); coins pay for the Store, in the game or on the website: Premium time, mounts, outfits, services and more.

Gold coins
| Coin | Value |
|---|---|
| gold coin | 1 |
| platinum coin | 100 |
| crystal coin | 10,000 |
Coins weigh and take backpack space. A banker changes them for you: say change and then gold, platinum or crystal (100 of one coin for 1 of the next, and back).
The bank
Every character has its own bank account. Bankers stand in the depots of the big towns. Greet them with hi and use these words:
| Say | What it does |
|---|---|
| balance | Shows how much gold you have in the bank. |
| deposit 5000 / deposit all | Puts carried gold into the bank. Confirm with yes. |
| withdraw 5000 | Takes gold out. You need enough free capacity and backpack space for the coins. Confirm with yes. |
| transfer 5000 to Name | Sends gold from your bank to another character's bank, online or not. Confirm with yes. |
| change | Changes coins (see above). |
- Amounts must be whole numbers of gold; you cannot transfer to yourself.
- When you bid on a house, your bid plus one rent are taken from your bank at once; if someone outbids you, they go back to your bank.
Trading with NPCs
Greet a merchant with hi and say trade to open the shop window, where you buy and sell. Every NPC also opens a dialog window with its topics as buttons when you greet it; you can switch that window off in the client settings (Use dialog windows with NPCs) and you can always type in the NPC channel.
- When you buy, the price is paid from the gold you carry first and the rest from your bank; a message tells you how much came from the bank.
- When you sell, the NPC pays you in coins.
- NPC services such as travel are paid the same way (carried gold, then bank).
The Market
The Market lets every player buy and sell items with other players without meeting them. Open your depot locker in any city and use the market inside it. The top bar shows your bank and carried gold.
- Find an item: pick it in Categories or type in Search items. The details show its Sell offers, Buy offers, statistics and a 30-day price history.
- Buy at once: select a sell offer and press Accept. Gold comes from your carried money first and then the bank; the item arrives in your depot inbox.
- Sell at once: select a buy offer and press Accept; the item must be in your depot and the gold goes to your bank.
- Create your own offer: use Create offer (sell or buy), set Amount and Piece price, tick Anonymous offer if you want to hide your name, and confirm. To sell, the items must be in your depot.
- My offers lists your active offers and lets you Cancel them; History shows what you bought, sold, cancelled or let expire.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Who can create offers | Every account, free or Premium |
| Fee for creating an offer | Premium accounts: no fee. Free accounts: 1% of the total, minimum 20 and maximum 100,000 gold |
| Offer duration | 30 days; then it expires: unsold items go back to your inbox and reserved gold back to your bank |
| Active offers at once | Up to 100 per character |
Which items can be traded
Every item the game marks as tradeable on the Market can be traded there, as in the original game: creature loot, NPC wares, quest rewards, runes, potions and more.
Items the game does not allow on the Market (keys, quest items and unique mission objects, among others) can only be traded by hand with the normal player trade.
Market prices on the website
The Marketplace page of the website lists the current sell (WTS: Want to sell) and buy (WTB: Want to buy) offers. Use Item search or Compare to open one item: you see all its active offers, past sales and a Price history (30 days) chart with the average price per day and the lowest–highest range. Anonymous offers appear as Anonymous. It is public: no login needed.
Coins
Coins belong to your account (all your characters share them). You get them by buying a pack on the website (Shop › Buy coins, paid through PayPal, card accepted there) or by redeeming a promo code. You spend them in the Store: the crown button of the client, or Shop › Store on the website. Both are the same Store, with the same offers, prices, rules and balance.
| In the Store | Price |
|---|---|
| Premium Time, 30 days | 250 coins |
| Premium Time, 90 days | 750 coins |
| Premium Time, 180 days | 1,500 coins |
| Premium Time, 360 days | 3,000 coins |
| Character Name Change | 250 coins |
| Character Sex Change | 120 coins |
| Mounts and outfits | See Mounts & outfits |
| Potions, runes, blessings, house items and more | Prices in the Store |
The Store on the website
- Log in, open Shop and choose the character in Buying for: offers you cannot buy for that character (an outfit or mount it already has, a blessing at its limit, an active XP Boost...) show the reason instead of Buy, as in the game.
- A purchase is delivered exactly as in the game (items to the Store inbox, outfits, mounts, blessings, Premium days...) and appears in the Store history. Online characters get it within seconds; offline characters get it when they log in.
- The coins are charged when the purchase is delivered. Until then the order is listed under Your Store orders, its coins are kept aside and you can Cancel it. If the game refuses it (for example the character got that mount meanwhile), nothing is charged and the reason is shown.
- A name change is done when the character is online in a protection zone (it is logged out to finish). Temple Teleport and the hireling name and sex changes are only sold in the game, because they need the game window.

Character Bazaar
The Char Bazaar on the website lets players auction their characters. Everyone can browse; you need to log in to sell or bid. Prices and fees are shown on the bazaar page.
- Who can be sold: a character of level 40 or higher, logged out, not in any guild, without a house or a house bid, without active Market offers, not scheduled for deletion, not name-locked, and not bought in the bazaar in the last 7 days. Staff characters cannot be sold. Up to 3 active auctions per account.
- Selling: Sell a character, choose the starting price (50 to 100,000 coins), an optional Buy now price and the duration (1, 3 or 7 days), then Review listing. A listing fee of 10% of the starting price (minimum 1 coin) is paid when you list and is never refunded.
- While listed the character is locked: it cannot log in, be deleted or be renamed. You can Cancel auction only while nobody has bid.
- Bidding: Place bid with your password. The first bid is at least the starting price; then each bid must beat the current one by 5% or 5 coins, whichever is more. Your coins are held at once and returned automatically if someone outbids you. You need a free character slot (5 per account) and cannot bid on your own auctions.
- Anti-sniping: a bid in the last 5 minutes moves the end to 5 minutes after that bid. Buy now ends the auction at once.
- End: a few minutes after the auction ends, the character moves to the winner's account and the full price goes to the seller (no second fee). Without bids, the character comes back to the seller. Both sides get an email.
