Party and VIP list

A party groups players who hunt together: they see each other's health, share a chat channel and can share experience. The VIP list is your friends list: it shows who is online and lets you message them in one click.

Party

Everyone can create and join parties. Open the Party window with the Party icon in the menu grid next to your equipment (it glows gold while the window is open) or from the ☰ game menu.

Inviting and joining

  • Invite: open the menu of a player on screen (right-click on the map or in the Battle list) and choose Invite to party, or type their name in Invite by name… in the Party window and press Invite. The first invitation creates the party and makes you its leader.
  • You can only invite players you can see on screen. Members cannot invite: only the leader (or a player not yet in a party).
  • Join: an invitation appears under Invitations in the Party window as "Name invited you"; press Join party. You can also choose Join party in the inviter's menu.
  • Revoke: the leader can cancel a pending invitation with Revoke in the Party window or Revoke invitation in the player's menu.

Leader

  • The leader invites players, revokes invitations and switches shared experience.
  • To hand the party over, the leader opens a member's menu and chooses Pass leadership.
  • There is no option to expel a member: a member leaves with Leave party.

Shared experience

Shared experience is switched on by itself when a party is formed (the leader can switch it off and on). The experience of every monster killed by the party is pooled, increased by a bonus and split equally among all members.

Different vocations in the partyExperience bonus

2+30%
3+60%
4+100%

It only works while every member meets these conditions:

  • Level: each member's level must be at least 2/3 of the highest level in the party.
  • Distance: each member must be within 30 squares of the leader and at most 1 floor away.
  • Activity: each member must have attacked or healed in the last 2 minutes.
  • Company: the party needs at least two members.

If a condition fails, the Party window shows Shared experience: inactive with the reason, and the shield of the member who breaks it blinks.

ImportantThe leader cannot switch shared experience while in combat outside a protection zone.
RecommendedMix vocations: a party with four different vocations (knight, paladin, sorcerer, druid or monk) gets double experience before it is split.

Party voice

MRVOX, the voice channels of Master Runes (the Voice icon in the menu grid), has no party channel: talk in a public channel, your guild's channels or a private room you create and invite your party to (private rooms are deleted at the daily server save).

VIP list

Open the VIP window with the VIP icon in the menu grid, from the ☰ game menu, or on phones from More → VIP. Everyone has a VIP list; it is saved with your character, so it is the same on any device.

Adding and removing players

  • Add: press + (Add to VIP list) in the VIP window and type the character name, or right-click a player on the map, in the Battle list or in the chat and choose Add to VIP list.
  • If the name does not exist, the player is already listed or your list is full, the add window tells you why.
  • Remove: press the ✕ on the row, or choose Remove [name] in its menu, and confirm.

Online status and messages

  • By default the list is split into Online and Offline groups, each with a counter; click a group header to fold it.
  • Message: double-click a name, press its ✉ button or choose Send Message: a private chat tab with that player opens.
  • Search VIP filters the list by name or description.
  • Right-click an empty part of the list to add a player or change the order: Sort by name, Sort by type (by icon) or Sort by status.
  • A row's menu also offers Copy Name and View character (the character's page on the website).
  • Drag the window's lower edge to make it taller or shorter, and use − to minimise it.

  • Icon: a marker to group your friends: Heart, Skull, Lightning, Crosshair, Star, Yin-yang, Triad, Cross, Dollar, Checkmark or no icon.
  • Notify on login: a small notice appears on screen ("Name has logged in.") when that player enters the game.
