Who can use it
The Wheel of Destiny opens from the Systems button of the game client (Wheel of Destiny). To use it you need all of this:
- Level 51 or higher.
- A promoted vocation (Master Sorcerer, Elder Druid, Royal Paladin, Elite Knight or Exalted Monk).
- A Premium account. Promotion is only granted to Premium accounts, and the wheel checks for Premium too.
Promotion points
You get 1 point for every level above 50: level 100 gives 50 points, level 200 gives 150. Extra points:
| Source | Points |
|---|---|
| Abridged promotion scroll | 3 |
| Basic promotion scroll | 5 |
| Revised promotion scroll | 9 |
| Extended promotion scroll | 13 |
| Advanced promotion scroll | 20 |
| Task Board shop (Promotion Points, one at a time, each dearer than the last) | up to 50 |
| Monks: completing The Way of the Monk (all 11 shrines) | 10 |
- Use a promotion scroll to decipher it (from level 51). Each kind of scroll counts only once per character.
Domains and slices
The wheel has four domains (green, red, blue and purple) with 9 slices each, 36 in total. Each domain holds 1,000 points:
| Slice size | Per domain | You need at least |
|---|---|---|
| 50 points (centre) | 1 | any points |
| 75 points | 2 | 50 points in total |
| 100 points | 3 | 125 points in total |
| 150 points | 2 | 225 points in total |
| 200 points (outer edge) | 1 | 375 points in total |
- You always start from one of the four centre slices.
- A slice opens when a slice next to it is full, so you grow outwards from the centre.
- Use + and - on each slice, then Apply to save. Step sets how many points each click moves (1, 25 or 200), and Undo and Reset help you try a layout before saving it.
Dedication and conviction perks
- Dedication perks: every point you put into a slice gives a little of that slice's base bonus, such as extra health, mana, capacity or damage mitigation.
- Conviction perks: when a slice is full you also get its conviction perk: a spell upgrade, a skill or magic level boost, a resistance or a new ability for your vocation.
- The window shows the points of every slice and, for each domain, its revelation perk and stage. The exact perks of each slice depend on your vocation.
Revelation perks
The points you have in a domain (plus bonuses from gems) unlock that domain's revelation perk in three stages: 250, 500 and 1,000 points. Each stage also adds damage and healing.
| Vocation | Green | Red | Blue | Purple |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Knight | Gift of Life | Executioner's Throw | Combat Mastery | Avatar of Steel |
| Paladin | Gift of Life | Divine Grenade | Divine Empowerment | Avatar of Light |
| Sorcerer | Gift of Life | Beam Mastery | Drain Body | Avatar of Storm |
| Druid | Gift of Life | Blessing of the Grove | Twin Bursts | Avatar of Nature |
| Monk | Gift of Life | Spiritual Burst | Ascetic | Avatar of Balance |
Changing your points
- You can add free points anywhere.
- To take points out and move them, stand in a temple, inside the protection zone near its centre.
- Changing points is free.
- The Presets tab saves layouts under a name so you can load them later. Presets are kept in your browser, on that device only.
Gems
Gems add mods (small extra bonuses) to the wheel. Each vocation has its own gems:
| Vocation | Gems |
|---|---|
| Knight | guardian gems |
| Paladin | marksman gems |
| Sorcerer | sage gems |
| Druid | mystic gems |
| Monk | spiritualist gems |
| Quality | Mods | Dropped by |
|---|---|---|
| Lesser | 1 | Influenced creatures (9%) and fiendish creatures (3%) |
| Regular | 2 | Fiendish creatures (3%) and archfoe bosses (9%) |
| Greater | 2 + 1 supreme mod | Fiendish creatures (9%) and archfoe bosses (3%) |
- The gem that drops can belong to any vocation: trade the ones you cannot use.
- The first time you open the wheel you receive eight revealed gems: a lesser and a regular one for each domain.
Gem Atelier
The Gem Atelier tab of the wheel window is where you reveal and manage your gems. Gold can come from your bank.
| Action | Lesser | Regular | Greater |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reveal (the gem's domain and mods are rolled) | 125,000 | 1,000,000 | 6,000,000 |
| Switch domain | 125,000 | 250,000 | 500,000 |
- Equip: each domain has one gem vessel, and a gem only fits the vessel of its own domain. Press Apply to save.
- Vessel resonance: some slices carry a resonance of a domain. Each one you fill completely wakes one more mod of the gem in that domain: first mod, second mod, then the supreme mod.
- Lock a gem to protect it; locked gems cannot be destroyed or moved to another domain.
- Destroy breaks an unlocked gem that is not equipped into fragments: 1 to 5 lesser fragments (lesser gem), 2 to 10 lesser fragments (regular gem) or 1 to 5 greater fragments (greater gem).
