Houses
Houses are rented through the in-game auction: open the Cyclopedia in the client, go to Houses, pick a town and bid. This page shows the current state of every house.
How house auctions work
- To bid you need a character of level 40 or higher, with a vocation and a Premium account.
- Your bank balance must cover your bid plus one rent. Both are taken from the bank when you bid and returned if someone outbids you.
- You bid your maximum. The public bid is only 1 gold above the second-highest maximum, so you usually pay less than your maximum; the difference is returned to your bank.
- The first bid starts the auction. It ends at the server save (09:00 UTC) 7 days later and the winner gets the house when the server starts again.
- Guildhalls can only be bid on by guild leaders, with the guild bank.
- Owners can move out or transfer their house to another character from the Cyclopedia; it happens at the server save.
- The rent is paid from the bank every month. If it stays unpaid the house is lost, and the whole account cannot bid on any house for 30 days. An owner who does not log in for 30 days also loses the house.
